There were 9 US presidents that had slaves at some time. These were George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Andrew Jackson, John Tyler, James K. Polk, Zachary Taylor, Andrew Johnson, and Ulysses S. Grant.
More with the fact that you've obviously figured out how to get past the Google Comment Roadblock, than with your answer here (which you obviously Googled). I said "no googling" for answers.
But then again, maybe I should change that rule. At least you've shown the interest to take the time to find out our nation's hidden history - history mostly missing from our education (exploitation?) system. Maybe there's hope for U.S. yet.
Exactly, the motivation to know and learn is more important than standing still in the absence of knowing. We all should take full advantage of our smart devices and learn.
